Below are the history of Jurnal Eksplorasi Akuntansi (JEA);

• Jurnal Eksplorasi Akuntansi (JEA) was established in February 2019. Jurnal Eksplorasi Akuntansi (JEA) publishes a new issue four times per year: February,  May, August and November.
  
• Jurnal Eksplorasi Akuntansi (JEA) with ISSN: 2656-3649 (media online). This journal was created in response to the 2019 Kemenristek Dikti Circular Letter, that undergraduate students are required to publish their thesis articles before registering for graduation. The first edition  was published in February 2019 (Vol 1, No 1, 2019). As of the February 2021 issue (Vol 3, No 1, 2021), the editorial board also opens opportunities for PTN / PTS students outside the accounting department of the Universitas Negeri Padang to submit manuscripts of thesis articles for publication in the Jurnal Eksplorasi Akuntansi (JEA).
• Since April 2021, Jurnal Eksplorasi Akuntansi (JEA) is managed by Universitas Negeri Padang in collaboration with The Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountant (IAI).
• Since October 2022, Jurnal Eksplorasi Akuntansi (JEA) had been indexed by Science and Technology Index (Sinta) and obtained accreditation predicate in grade 4 by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia, Decree (SK) No. 204/E/KPT/2022 valid from Vol 2 no 2 (2020) until Vol 7 no 1  2025.
